The fourth annual release of the Data never sleeps project reveals astonishing numbers of the amount of traffic produced on some of the most popular sites, per minute. Then the second infograph showcases just how big the current webpage is, which is a whopping 3MB.

Some useful links for those interested in more research on the subject: http://httparchive.org/interesting.php

I love how people consider http(s) to be "the internet".

"The internet" is actually devolving.

one thing most people overlook is how much data/information can be stored in plain text files, and just how much smaller infinitesimally small they are in comparison to media files.

the king james bible is just 4.2MB (uncompressed, plain text, utf-8) - any old smartphone photo is larger!
and how much text there is in the bible, you surely can imagine. enough to tell the life story of a surveilled peasant.

Actually is devolved along time ago when we they setup the client-server model, or in others words slave-master.. But decentralized block chain technologies seem to be emerging, so I guess we'll see.
