BTW, I'm old enough to be a Vietnam Vet (U.S. Marine Corps), and I've got two sons that were in Iraq (also USMC). They both made it back to Harford County, MD (USA). One of them just called me (very drunk) from a local watering hole, and had everyone in the background yell "Happy 4th of July to the *old* Marine!".

I use Mandrake 10.1 as a host for my quest into programming with Python, and occasionally try to actually understand something about Linux.

Man... this is an old thread. I can't remember how old I was when I first posted here. (you know, that happens when you get older.)

I'll be 52 this Sunday. I don't feel a day over 50!!

Dang, I just realised I haven't posted a relevant post here at LQ in a while. I'm living in a Windows environment these days. Very distracting...

What about age ?

I'm 54 and since my beginning with Mandrake 8.3 a few years ago, i've always try to learn Linux.
Needless to say that i've changed my mind a couple of times going back to Windows because it was to difficult for me.

Ubuntu start my comeback and since that, i've learn with this distribution more than any other one.
His community makes it a lot easier.

Fedora and Suse were two monsters for me, afraid i was but now i can work with them and i'm proud of that.

Except for minor problems that i can't resolved i try to stay with Linux.

Freedom has no price

Thank you

( Now i'm with Suse 10.1 and i'm happy and i'm not a professional IT just a simple man )

I am a 22 year old stuck in the body of a 16 year old with the mind of an 8 year old. Makes sense ? No, I didnt think so. (Too many "old"s might just be the problem.)

Oh, and I also happen to be male and from India.

21, Male, Westland, Michigan, USA

I've been using and trying Linux on and off for a long time, but most recently I have been using Linux for pretty much everything. I hope to stay that way!
