Aha! Thanks Jeremy. I only came across this a couple of minutes ago and was disappointed when I saw it was closed - so long as things don't get out of hand, I can't see the harm in this! I think it'd be quite interesting to see the diversity of LQ users in one thread. Cheers.

hey sorry acid if you didn't like the thread, but i just thought that it would be good for us as a COMMUNITY to get to know eachother more, and i know some may have this info in their profiles but i also asked if they have anything else to add, and i'm sure everyone will be sensible about this and it won't get out of hand......

yes, very much thanks too jeremy, i don't know about everyone else, but knowing the background of our fellow members sort of gives you background on where Linux has spread and the age groups it has attracted, and even male and female......
