How Many Sites Does Slashdot Crash?

If your like me your always checking out slashdot.org for some daily news. I find that a good amount of the links they provide, especially the ones in current news, are dead links. Obviously the people at slashdot are not giving us dead links but they do produce a big swell of hits that can take some servers down to their knees.

Do you think your site could handle a link on slashdot?
Could linuxquestions.org handle it?

I don't have anything slashdot worthy so I'm not worried about it.

Mine? No, not at all... A home DSL line, the band would choke.

LQ? Already has, I think it was twice, one of them had to do with the Member's choice awards.

Cheers,
