I like my job even though it's not really a real job per se. I have a paid internship doing desktop support for a rather large cosmetics corporation

I like working with computers and I like helping people which makes it worth it to me. Plus I get funny stories to tell, like the lady who didn't know what the 'taskbar' is

My job sucks, but then, I'm only 17 and stuck washing dishes until I graduate and can get a real job. I get paid 8.00 per hour to work my butt off doing everything but actually wash dishes. I cook food, run the barbecue pits, do prep cooking work, and even do catering. Then my bosses walk in the door and tell me I'm lazy and they don't understand why I think I can do so little.(this on a night when I had to stay until 1:00 in the morning-4 hours past when I get off so I could help with a banquet.)

I enjoy my job. I drive a big rig around the country. Basically, I'm a well paid tourist. Beats getting a real job.

I loathe my job, only reason I still have it is because it would break my boss' heart if I quit. We were (and are) friends first, and her boss is an ass.
Not sure how much longer it's going to be worth 20 hours of my life every week.

I took a quick overview to this topic and it seems most of you are happy with your jobs. Well, I'm not . I work in a library and it's really boring; besides, I must feed the library's database, so I must read a lot of educational journals, make abstracts of the articles, isolate the keywords and put all the information in the database (really boring, isn't it?). But next monday (tomorrow) I'll have a job interview in other place and hopefully I'll be accepted (and hopefully I'll like this job better ).

I paid my way through college working in lumber mills during the summer. As a result, I resolved to never again take a job I didn't enjoy. (Actually, I called those jobs "work," and vowed to "never again work.")

And I never did.

My current "job" is quite nice: I'm retired. Can't be beat!

I'm with PTrenholme - I'm retired and it is great.

I was a development engineer for most of my career. I loved the "work" but had trouble with the ignorance and stupidity of the surrounding "population". For example, at one job I learned to automatically triple my schedule estimates because my bosses' boss would automatically divide the scheduled time by three. But the actual work I truly loved.

I also was one of the first to recognize how computers would help with certain things, and my boss at the time was behind me one hundred percent. As a result I got to do a bunch of fun things on computers (a Honeywell H6000, by the way).

I enjoy my job. It keeps me on my feet working most of the day but the thing I like most is that a) I work with a fantastic bunch of people and b) it's challenges me every day. I'd start pulling my hair out with a desk job...

I do,basically, the same work but in many different locations and for different companies. This isn't my choice anymore but mergers, acquisitions, poor market, layoffs, and closures keep me on my toes.

I'm at the age where jobs are harder to find and I'm too young and poor to retire. Company I was working for last fall closed down permanently. I was lucky to get another position immediately filling in for an injured employee who will be returning soon so its back to the job hunt.

I've always thought life would get easier at my age but its more of a struggle than ever before.

Do I hate my work? No. I hate the feeling of low self worth, embarrassment, and depression when I'm between jobs. Sometimes I feel like giving up.

For those who are bored with their positions I would trade places with you anytime. Love your boring job and be thankful you have it.

I like my job. It's a pretty soft job for a seventeen year old. I work as a lifeguard at the rec center. Basically, I watch people swim. It's really not that hard, until someone actually needs help. I get paid $12 an hour, so really, in the scheme of things, my jobs pretty cool.

However, no hot girls ever come into the pool, so...there are some downsides I guess
