how can i use a ftp program to download a site?
I want to copy a website and change it's logo around as a joke. How could I use an ftp program to download something like linuxquestions.org then change it's banner to something else..
for example.. I want to open up linuxquestions.org into my ftp program, and then save the website. i then want to open up my local saved folder of linuxquestions.org in adobe golive. i then change the banner. then i save the linuxquestions.org folder with the updated banner. (btw- im realize the change will only be local and will not really affect linuxquestions.org, im not that newb =) ) thanks in advance edit: also, i want to change the banner of a site that i do not own.. so i can't type in my username pass etc (i only used smartftp so far and it require those) |
read the wget and curl manpages for details of recursive mirroring, can create a huge amount of data though.... i think for wget it's just "wget -m"

and never try to imply what kind of solution you think you want.... you're expecting a result to use an ftp program? why?
