how can i take photo with samsung a13 phone

I recently purchased an unlocked Samsung A13 to replace flip phones whose hinges kept breaking. This phone will only be used in very rare cases (I am hearing-impaired and therefore, not familiar at all with it and not intending to be).
Lately, I needed to take photos of the surroundings of my rented unit and I managed only to take one photo which was good but not what I wanted, many other attempts simply produced nothing.
This is my first need for photos in about 20 years and is not likely to be repeated, not justifying the purchase of an expensive digital camera.

The fact that I ended up with a good photo (for what I want) taken in overcast weather indicates that the Samsung cell phone can do the job I want it to do even though its camera is reportedly very limited.
The successful photo was taken in close proximity while I tried to take the others from further away if that is the cause of the failure.

Has anyone any tips for this particular problem?

Thank you for your help.

I think your best bet is to do a web search for something like "Samsung A13 user manual." I tried one and got a number of hits, including on the Samsung website, but, not knowing the exact model, I was hesitant to recommend a particular one.

50 MP QUAD rear camera, 8 MP front (selfie) camera means camera is not the problem.

The detailed pic (here https://www.samsung.com/in/smartphon...MaAux2EALw_wcB ) has 4 cameras in the rear plus a selfie camera.app

Two of them appear to be "portrait" mode which blur out the background and sharpen the foreground. Forgot what the technical jargon for that feature is called.

There is also the classic ZOOM feature (not the physical zoom of a regular SLR but what used to be called as digital zoom.

Please look at the settings of the app and get expert help if needed (internet/youtube).

thats actually quite nice camera for a relatively cheap phone.
my samsung a42 has 48MP camera, even though it were 250 at discount, it cost 350 without discount.

Your description of the problem itself was not much to go on but I think you might be in the wrong shooting mode in the camera app. Do find and read a manual on your Galaxy A13 as suggested. Look for a 'how to change shooting modes' section in the manual.

50MP in a cellphone. Wow.
