Hi-end professional CD player.

Hi: I have money to spend and would like to buy a very expensive, I mean big money in the purchasing of a CD player. Not for the street or the car but to use it at home. Any brands come to mind?

There's a list example here, at `What HI*FI'
http://www.whathifi.com/reviews/hi-fi/cd-players

The "Burmester 069" should be available for USD $50,000

Looks impressive! I was once about to buy a TEAC electric piano. I opted for a Yamaha: bad choice! I had not money enough to buy a new acoustic piano.

EDIT: My mistake, it's Thecnics, not TEAC!

An intristing site! And affordable prices, when you feel like spending. Ah, pounds. The second link makes me remind of a friend, fan of audio, that showed me a baffle at nearly one million dollars. I was just talking about Tanoi monitors, SAE power amplifiers, SME tonearms and the like, and the name Bang & Olufsen broke into the conversation. And to think there are people who can spend that money!

The things their doing, not only them, with transcription tables are incredible. The degree of sofistication seems unbounded. Only one thing conspires against these few people, lovers of perfection. The loss of certain raw materials. For example Ortofon suffers from the exhaustion of some natural materials the used in the finest models. I'll bear in mind the link.
