Since you've already made your choice, I will only say that even though I believe that Dell makes some good computers, I would still buy an HP computer. The reason behind my option resides in an experience I had some time ago, when I bought myself a new computer, and it worked perfectly for a while and then it started to function slower, and I was very frustrated about it. What annoyed me, even more, was the fact that a friend of mine had an HP refurbished workstation that was working very well, and that was the moment when I understood that there is something about these HP computers that makes them reliable in the long run.

A recent low priced option for a basic desktop computer is a Raspberry Pi400, about 67, it's a computer within a keyboard, like was available back in the 80s, but with much more power. Perfect for the basics.
