Interesting, but underpowered for modern desktop usage, and poor range of ports for a server. It's showing its age, I don't think the specs have been changed in some time.
The "net top" genre is now reasonably well-established, if somewhat niche, and there are much better similar machines available.

I've a feeling the project is moribund. There was some disagreement in the project management, and some people went off to make Tiny Core (which I don't think much of).

I reckon it would be nice to see a revival or similar project oriented at business card DVDs. Nowadays few computers have only a CD drive. With 330 MB to play with on a business card DVD, I reckon you could find space for better hardware support (wireless networking is a must) and a core application set.

Try PuppyLinux ..

But yeah it would be nice ..

So .. I guess ... that's what happens when someone tries not to be mainstream .. (not get big and good like the other distro)

Actually, Damnsmall linux is an example of what happens when one person 'owns' the distro but must depend on others to have all the ideas and do all thw work...

too bad ...and if i stay and rethink about making it a server , i could get one of those chinese mini laptops for 100 bucks and put a switcher on it to make space for more ports .. and then find a way to put linux on it ...

Always thought they looked interesting but also thought they were overpriced and underpowered. I Used DSL from 2.2 to 3.3(4?) after which I got a better computer that didn't need to use DSL. Was Interested in DSL-N but that was killed early on. As far as I know DSL is about as dead as fried chicken. Just about any of the netbooks would probably give you a better bang for your buck as it appears to be the same DSL Machine they were trying to sell back in 2006.

I would just buy an Atom-based one instead, more power and it's probably cheaper too.
