Google warned me for my comment on YouTube

This morning I received this email from "Google+ team":

It came immediately after I tried to post a comment on an archeology video, so I assume that's what triggered it. And it failed to post with "unknown error" even after repeated attempts.

So what did I post? An innocuous comment that I think the video's author would agree with. "Promotional"? "Commercial"? "Mass solicitation"? None of that.

Has anyone else been harassed by Google+ and figured out why?

Repeated attempts more than likely triggered their spam protection.

Given the general level of comments on YouTube, I'm mildly surprised that Google warns anybody about anything, let alone about an innocuous post about for Pete's sake archeology.

Most likely, the "repeated attempts" to post a comment ... although they failed ... triggered an automatic spam-detector which sent an automatic response.

Well, computer technology works most of the time . . . :rolleyes:
