google chrome outgoing connections

Hello,

Well, I installed google chrome in my windos xp partition..., where I have also installed the Sunbelt PersonalFirewall, since then all the time I access the internet WITHOUT using google chrome, using firefox, there are outgoing attemts by Google Installer.

I dont get why installing a web browser should affect like that my system, has this happened to some of you before? Is this something normal?

If I uninstall google chrome, there are no attempts anymore.

Just put a firewall, install google chrome and check what happens when using firefox.

I think you'll better reply if you'll search for forum specifically dedicated to Chrome browser, reporting its' bugs, and solving problems. Google groups are nice place to start.

I didn't like Chrome that much ... I seriously prefer remaining in love with Mozilla Firefox.
(Primarily because I can extend it as and how I want using plugins - which I can't do on Chrome!)

Probably it's just checking for a new version.
