While remotely useful, this, I believe, constitutes advertising and is against the LQ Rules. I also notice you have exactly 5 posts, and most of them aren't really useful. Did you do this just so you could post a URL to avoid our 5-post rule?

Nope.. and those posts are useful to me as I am trying to get information on Linux.. I thought that was the point? ANd this deal post was because I am looking for a laptop and don't want to get burned.

Penguin12, you passed us alink to a link from another forum. It looks as though by clicking on that link we are making someone some money. Read up on clickthroughs.

So, in my infinite kindness, I have amended it to go to the actual Dell page.

To answer your question, Dell are a long standing, respected hardware company. They allow you to customise your purchase and offer many deals. If you want to find out if the deals are any good, you will need to do some price comparison yourself and read up on opinion sites.

Incidentally, I have looked at the Dell page and there do not seem to be any offers listed.

XavierP:
Clicking on the link still directs one to the forum in question, only the text of the link has been changed. I don't know if this was you, or he came back and edited it, but I clicked on it and got the forum. Not the dell site listed. Coincidentally, it shows that he edited it since you did.

Penguin12 - obviously you can't play nicely with others. No doubt you felt very clever there: putting one over on the rest of us. This thread is closed. If you persist in breaking our rules your privileges to this site will be removed.
