Generating excel with php

Does anyone know of a method to create a chart in an excel compatible file with either php or xml?

I currently use the PEAR php excel writer functions to make xls files, which do everything i need except make charts. ( function list : http://pear.php.net/manual/en/packag...cel-writer.php)

I was wondering if anyone knew of some way to do this. i checked around here and found like 1 old thread that wasnt very useful. (this is the best place i can think of for getting answers to questions involving anything having to do with a keyboard and monitor, so I thought I would give it a shot ;p)
