Gearhead equivalent to Scott Mueller's classic?

Hi, this question is for the gearheads out there. Is there a book in print for automotive upgrade, repair and maintenance that is the equivalent to our bithead classic (Scott Mueller's Upgrading and Repairing PCs)? Here's the link to Mueller's book on Amazon.com, if you're not familiar with the title:

Thank you.

I doubt it... At least not a book that would cover the entire industry...

One of the problems with a book that would cover every automobile is that there are so many variations. Fuel injected or carb? front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, all wheel drive, 4 wheel drive? 3cyl? 4cly? 5? 6? 8? 10? 12? 16? Turbo? automatic transmission or Manual? and the list goes on.

There are car specific ones like Chilton and Haynes as well as factory repair manuals that you can get. Most of them are pretty good but usually only cover a range of vehicles. If it's something I will be working on a lot I would recommend them.
