funny , but i never had any trouble with Arch

Me neither, but it may be because I never installed nor used Arch.

I installed Arch a several years ago just to see what it was like. It worked fine for me.

But the picture does rather reflect my experiment with LFS.

I did LFS, & HLFS (If anyone remembers that). I took an instant dislike for Arch's pacman tool. I might give Arch a second chance some day. It is a lot like LFS.
