Partly offtopic:
Ever play the game Red Faction ? Through the whole game I thought they were calling me "minor" in an insulting way. Only later did I realize they were calling me "miner", and that's what you are in the game ... how is that an insult ?

Well in South Africa, a miner is only about a rung above a farm labourer on the ladder to success. So perhaps it's class thing? :P

There's an old story about a rock star who was trying to break into the movies.

His agent wanted him to play a part in a movie about the California Gold Rush.

His response: "Oh, no, every time I get near a minor I end up in trouble."
