Welcome to LQ, murphyola.

There isn't a team as such, to my knowledge. Strange as it may seem, the volunteers here can ignore you if they choose to.

That said, let's address your frozen vm. What system does it contain? What pc/distro are you running it on? Have you changed anything recently that may have affected it? Have you a backup? Why not,if it's work related? Have you other VMs and do they work? Can you install over or do you need data from it? Have you read How_To_Ask_a_Question ?

With those answers, we might be able to help you.

Also, what virtualizer are you using?

Odds are that the only options available to you are the same options that you would have if it were a physical machine.

Try CTRL-ALT-F2 to open a new terminal and, if that works, log in as root and issue a reboot command.

If that doesn't work, power it off, restart it, and hope you have a recent snapshot to restore if that doesn't work.
