Hi Sarienbarry,
I recently installed 'freenas' on an unused computer 60GB. After lots of research I installed and configured it for both 'Windows' & Linux'. It works quite well. I'm not a guru of computers,but with persistence I managed to get it going. If I can help,I'll try. I have four computers that can now transfer files to the new freenas computer. I'm still playing around with it to test its limitations. Good Luck..
