FreeDOS cdrom drivers

What is the best generic DOS cdrom driver out there? I want something that's fast, efficient, and DOS 5.0 compatible since I'll be playing DOS games.

No, sadly it isn't, using DOSBox I can't save and load games in Space Quests I-III. Sometimes you just need real DOS.
