Just proves the irrationality of Apple fanboys. This video is spot on. I can also download apps on my flip phone. I know, a flip phone and apps?! If I really wanted a 'smartphone' anyhow, I might consider the Droid, but thats if Verizon offers it when my contract expires, for less than $100.

damgar 07-11-2010 08:06 PM

It just makes me laugh. I'm not going to pretend that I don't have irrational love for certain things. Slackware is a good example. But I keep hearing people talk about their, macbook, Iphone, Ipad, Itunes and I wonder how many turtlenecks that individual has bought Mr. Jobs.

P.S. I have an Iphone 3gs and it crashes more than Buster from Mythbusters.

Jeebizz 07-11-2010 08:10 PM

Call me biased, but I have actual legitimate reasons for liking Slackware, unlike whatever drivel is sold from Apple. I guarantee you that if Jobs dropped trou, and marketed i-shit, Apple fanboys would line up to buy it.

Which also reminds me of a line from Tommy Boy:

Tommy: "Look, if you want me to take a shit in a box and label it a guarantee I can, I have the time."

Factory Owner: "But why do they have a guarantee on the box then?"

Tommy: "Because they know all they have sold you is a guaranteed piece of shit."

LOL.

Be aware folks, this contains much swearing.

Jeebizz 07-14-2010 02:22 PM

Haha.

Also remember that its your fault that the iphone doesn't work, because of how you are holding it. It is not the phone itself.

I still can't fathom why people go for this phone anyways. Besides the fact that it is on a crap network, the phone itself is crap too.

ronlau9 07-14-2010 02:49 PM

What made somebody a Apple Fanbois ?
If somebody own a Apple does that make him or here a Apple Fanbois .
Or could it be that he/she owns a Apple to do certain task .

entz 07-14-2010 05:42 PM

Well......

whatever comes from Apple is gonna be a useless pile of consumerist electro junk , which within a couple of month if not sooner you'll get bored of and toss into the trash bin..

AKA iSHIT as Jeebiz called it.

the fact that some people have embraced steve jobs' philosophy of getting dictated to from above how to use anything under the auspecies of "innovative design" is simply beyond me.

anyways , all the people who i know who got iphones or ipod or ishits are either computer illiterate dummies from the granny generation who have no frigging clue how to use a computer or are spoiled teenage boys who are mistaking the ishit for the latest lego product!

cheers

Jeebizz 07-14-2010 07:20 PM

With Apple's latest flaws with their product (mainly iphone4 and antenna issue), this goes right into their face when Apple customers and Jobs like to tout just how high quality their products are. Yea, very high quality,.

I was never impressed by their gadgets and I always wanted something to happen to knock them down a peg. I'm not saying... Oh what the hell, I AM saying it. I am happy that the latest iphone has such issues. I'm laughing my ass off here. Nevermind Apple's decision to go on the US' most crappiest network.

Oh, and I loved Jobs' reply on the issue with the iphone4. "Just hold the iphone in a different way." Woooow, great solution there how long did your 'engineers' take to think that one up?

Hmm, no doubt Mr Job$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ has thought of a way of holding it that has not been patented by anyone else yet.

Don't get insulted.
Apple has a ridiculously loyal customer base. Even when product flaws are exposed, Apple loyalists rush to defend the company. Its weird.
That said, at work the graphics dept. is all macs so I need to own one. I still have a Quadra700 running os7.5 and debian-linux/m68k.
I like the mac os far better than windows but linux is better than both.
