Question Flash Drives

Does anybody know how to make Linux atomatically detect when the flash drive is inserted, then mount it, then open up Nautilus automatically to display the contents of the drive (like it does when you insert a CD into the cdrom drive). Then when it is unplugged, the reverse is done automatically.

Is this possible?

Please let me know! I can't find any info on this anywhere. Only how to mount it
manually.
