First steps in my leap from end-user to developer

Well, it's official.

I picked up a beginner's book on C programming yesterday.
I've been using linux around 2 years now, and the bug finally bit-- Why not give something back?

Thus begins my journey in learning some programming... I've written and compiled 2 completely worthless programs so far.

Hopefully this will eventually lead me to to some knowledge I can apply in actually doing some good for the cause in the community.

After reading some of the kernel source code, methinks I have a long way to go... :-D

Mighty oaks grow from tiny acorns (I forget the exact quote). Anyway, good luck with your programming, I have yet to write anything particularly useful for anyone but me. I guess I might get around to it one day, maybe over this summer.
