I am running Mandrake 9.2. I mostly use Firefox for a browser. I installed Firefox 1.0 on a PC on my home network (the other computer has an older pre-1.0 version) and occasionally the following will happen:

I type yahoo. com, but instead of yahoo, I get a page that says yahoo. com on it, but it is really searching. net. I check the page source, and the IP address I see is 62.73.174.194.

This has never happened on my other computer. I've done lots of googling, and I have found some references to searching. net spyware, but so far it seems limited to Windows.

Can anyone shed some light? It's driving me crazy!

Have you deleted your cache, history and cookies recently? If not do that and give Yahoo.com another try.
