I prefer The Original Series. They have the best plots (and the worst special effects, but try to see beyond that).

The best episode is definitely "A Taste of Armageddon". Enterprise reaches a planetary system which has had a computer simulated war for 500 years. When the computer decides that one side has had 1000 casualties, then they must kill 1000 of it's own citizens. The computer then declares that the Enterprise has been destroyed...

I found an episode guide for TOS here:

I read this TNG Star Trek book 'IMBALANCE' where Kieko was Chief O' Brien's wife. Is she the same one?

Yeah, that's the same one. They got married in the 4th or 5th (I think) season of Next Gen, and then they carried her over to DS9 when that started. She was a major character for the first two seasons, then she kinda puttered out.

Molly is their child, whom Worf played midwife for, in a very good episode from Next Gen that I don't remember the name of at this point.

My favorite is TNG "The naked now". Some infection from a star causes everyone to act drunk. Wesley takes control of the ship and Lieutenant Yar seduces data.

That was a great link Martn.

One good episode from voyager is the one in which an alien race had made a transmitter of sorts to transmit the images of the war on their planet.
And the transmitter worked by invoking in the crew's minds such images as if they were actually fighting that war. That episode was really awesome. I forget the name.
