Ext2 Volume Manager limiting amount of data transfer

I use XP SP3 running Ext2 Volume Manager to access a linux external HDD from a Topfield PVR to transfer video files to and fro.
When transferring data from the external HDD to an internal one, after about 70Gb it stops with a message that I have insufficient resources to complete the service.
The transfer is from a 1TB HDD that is nearly full to a nearly empty 1.5TB HDD and there is more than enough free space. If I turn off the computer and restart it transfers about another 70Gb and the same thing happens. This goes on indefinitely.
I have 3GB RAM and my primary HDD is 150Gb of which about 68GB is free.
Once the limit is reached it stops transfers from windows drives also.
If I close Ext2 Volume Manager the problem ceases, so it is to blame.
Can anyone help?

Since you use XP SP3 and the culprit seems to be this "Ext2 Volume Manager" this does not seem like a problem for the Linux General forum to me. I'd try Linux (Live CD if you don't want to install to disk?) or check the support and bug reporting options (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ext2fsd/support) or try another driver (http://www.fs-driver.org/).

As this is a Windows issue, I have moved this thread to the General forum.

I am not familiar with the 'ext2 volume manager.' But maybe you should try checking the site for any bugfixes, and definitely report your issue to them as they are responsible for this program.

I have copied from and to an ext2 partition under windows, but I used a different driver(?) from www.fs-driver.org, so try uninstalling the 'ext2 volume manager' and try installing the ext2 driver from the site I mentioned. Perhaps you might be able to transfer your file successfully, (also remember during the installation to enable large file support).

Hope this helps.

Thanks Jeebiz & UnSpawn, I did as you suggested and used a new driver and the problem is solved.
