Errors on Burnt DVD

I have tried 3 times record to a DVD 1334 .Jpeg images

If I record them all together as images (1334 Jpegs) without putting them in Albums
this DVD disk would playback on 2 different computers OK but would not playback on a SONY DVD player

Sony said that there should be NO more than 200 Albums and I think 300 images per Album

So I have 12 Albums with on average 125 images in each.

Only this First 3 Images on the (Album 1) would playback on my computer all the others would not and gave this Error:-

Error interpreting JPEG image file (Not a JPEG file: starts with 0x00 0

Please you help

I was using Brasero to Burn the disk and it was finalised

Brasero said there was an error after checking disk at the end if the burn.

Talking about errors isn't as helpful as posting actual and exact error messages could be.

Sony assume you use some proprietary "album manager", well, thats Sony. And it probably just freezes when it has to deal with a folder with 1334 files. Never meant to take that much

Try to split them to < 200 folders w/ < 300 pics in each

If the disk seems failed in the test but actually works on computers, it means : There is some minor fault with the disk (scratch etc) but the computers are able to overcome it

Well I am assuming that Sony mean "Folders" when they say "Albums"

I did create 12 Albums and put less than 300 images in each average of 120 images.

Only the first THREE images could be seen in the FIRST Album

ALL other show ERROR's This is what was on the screen:-

Error interpreting JPEG image file (Not a JPEG file: starts with 0x00 0

With a NO Entry sign displayed on left hand side of the error msg.

I have tried to download "AVS" some months ago it wanted to work under wine, but it would NOT run on my computer !

I am running Ubuntu 10.10 on a Dell 2.4Ghz Dimension 2400

Thanks for your input

Richard

Can you open the pics from the DVD on another computer ?

Try to open the files from the DVD in hex editor to confirm : The player claims they begin with "00". Real JPEGs begin with "FF D8 FF E0 00 10 4A 46 49 46" ("ÿØÿà..JFIF")

If the files are real JPEGs, blame the player
