Question Error when building m4 under cygwin with mingw?

I have the latest cygwin and mingw on my Windows XP SP2. And I am learning autoconf and automake, which m4 is needed by. So I downloaded an m4 src tarball from gnu.org, and built it as below:

./configure
mingw32-make

./configure was successful, but mingw32-make encountered an error like this:

/usr/bin/mkdir -p sys
process_begin: CreateProcess(NULL, /usr/bin/mkdir -p sys, ...) failed.
make (e=3): No such file or directory

I have not found answers at google.com and cygwin.com yet, so I came here for help, thanks^_^

(I have searched this forum for "createprocess" but no results.)

Can't help with your problem, but why do you want to build m4 when it's already included in the default install?

Yes, there is m4 in the cygwin packages that I found yesterday. And I have solved the problem by myself. Thanks ^ ^
