Easy as riding a bike...

...because that's what it is!

Just taught my 5yr old son to ride without stabilizers, it took about an hour all in! I was chuffed so felt like saying so. That's my boy...

brianL 03-27-2011 11:25 AM

Very good, but can he install Gentoo? :)

Alexvader 03-27-2011 11:29 AM

Congrats, quite an acomplishment...

Now, give him a bokken, and teach him the kata... :)

but keep him away from Katana and wakizashi... this is really dangerous stuff in inexperienced hands...

gnashley 03-27-2011 01:47 PM

can he install Gentoo? --on a dead badger -or at least a severely crippled one?

brianL 03-27-2011 02:27 PM

It's harder to install on a living badger. They won't keep still.

XavierP 03-27-2011 02:43 PM

Since Acid_Kewpie installed Gentoo at about that age, I'm guessing that his boy is currently compiling LFS :)

I never learned how to ride a bike.

XavierP 03-28-2011 08:39 AM

Apparently acid_kewpie can help you with that.

acid_kewpie 03-28-2011 08:52 AM

if you don't mind me squeezing your sides.

He rode all the way to school this morning apparently. Yay!

But with all the speedy vehicles on the busy road? You weren't worried? Where I live even adults don't prefer two wheelers, there's no question of sending children on them!

There are very very wide pavements. And it's a quiet place where I live.

Aquarius_Girl 03-28-2011 09:25 AM

Aah! and there are no kidnappers too? or the dogs on the street? Oh, the school must be too close then.

The op is from different country, so it is no wonder situation is different.
Driving bicycle on the ROAD in my area isn't a good idea either, but if driving bicycles on sidewalks are allowed, there should be no problems.

Where I live, it is difficult to drive on the sideways too, since the sideways are occupied by the cows and the beggars and this is not a joke :)
