As I sit here after my day job is done. I start working on things for the consulting job I have, I work on hardware issues, software issues, etc. I enjoy having a beer while I work, maybe a few here and there as the hours wear on. Some nights I'm through 12 bottles (Canadian Beer). Who else shares this (passion) problem, and is it a bad thing?
I stopped doing that. Ive found that I fall asleep at the keyboard and drool all over it then have to buy a new keyboard every week or so. I just switched from beer to crack cocaine that way I dont have to buy keyboards all the time.
No really. Its not that bad as long as you can cope with it. I like to drink a couple beers then switch to non-alcoholic beer.

That one I just dont get
I have a bottle of Kentucky Bourbon (Makers Mark) sitting right next to my monitor. I usually make myself a Whiskey Sour or two on the weekend and just browse the net.
It is OK as long as you live in Canada. It is a stereotype that we expect.
But seriously though, I have seen alot of positive things about Canada, I think it would be a great place to raise my son, and have considered trying to move there to work after I finish my CS degree, though I don't even know if it is possible. But what is it like there as far as software type jobs go? And do you all accept imported workers (if you happen to know)?

I love Canada, I never want to move. Yes I have traveled other places (many). As far as tech jobs, I believe there are not as many here as in the US. However in this day and age, people can work from home. As far as hiring imported workers, I'm really not too sure.
I was visiting some friends in Calgary last week, and canadian beer is much better than american. The kind I liked the best was Kokanee(sp) and molson's Canadian.
When I've had too much beer, I generally sit down and have wine with dinner. When dinner's over, I like a tumbler or two of whiskey. I don't have any problems with beer.
