Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide

It seems to me that what constitutes proper public behavior is a legitimate topic of discourse in the LQ General Forum. It's not as if it's a discussion of the imagery in the works of John Clelan--oh, never mind.
I see a lot of stupid shit in public, and I don't care about people smoking - but come on now - just wait until you get home, sheesh! *facepalm*
I do care about people smoking in public places. Why should they be allowed to pollute the air I have to breathe? But porn? Is anyone really going to crane over someone else's shoulder to see what he's watching on his phone? I posted this story because I thought it was part of the funnier side of modern technology.

I agree. I'm not sure if my flippant remarks have actually been taken seriously.
Actually I don't think it's in good taste to try to mix sax and violins but who am I to decide what you find entertaining? especially on a 4 inch screen and with headphones.

I'm a long-time subscriber to Playboy (yes, I read the articles and, no, I don't like the new format), and I wouldn't think of reading it on a bus or train or a plane, in deference to those around me who might not find it to their taste.
That's pretty much my take on things.
I think if somebody is displaying pornography on public transport and it's being seen by kids, for example, then they should be told to stop and not stopping should, perhaps, then become potentially illegal but I don't agree with asking people to actively try to fond others watching pornography and report them that's going too far. In other words -- a polite request to stop doing something if it's an issue should be the first recourse rather than immediately invoking "The Law".

When that trilogy first came out, I saw quite a few people reading it on the tube. I've also seen a lot of copies in charity shops, so I guess those people mostly didn't think it was worth a second read.
