Does anybody know of a way to prevent users in a VENDOZES network from dowloading crp

Hi does anyone know fo a way to prevent users in W2K network from downloading crap off the net.. like chat engines, wallpaper today, wallpaper tomorrow, weather bugs,

I cannot believe MSHit released software with no way of preventing this without 14 scripts and 3 call to tech support to get this done.

Sorry for the languge here but it is so DARN frustrating where as in Linux it is so simple either youhave root access or you don't.

Thanks for hereing me out and let me know if you can help out here..

At my work they block specific sites, and flashes up a bright yellow page with red writing "You are not authorized to view this page".

Scary I tell ya!

I'm sure it's just some filter software since it determines from keyword content.

As for an easy way, not really. You could always hide almost all their space from them, then they wouldn't have a lot of room to download stuff with.

Just some ideas...

Cool

Thanks Master C,
And you are right they block certain sight through the firewall more than likely- or they have specialize filtering software to stop this.

Man to think that M$ had superior software all these years//
