Do people actually like search suggestions?

I can't stand them. I loath them, and I find it hard to believe that anyone actually does like them! Alas, I've been out of touch before.
I am legit curious on how many people actually like these? I don't mean people that just endure them and are okay with that. I mean people that enjoy these features. Do you exist!

What he said on a computer.

On my cell phone, I sometimes pay attention to them because it can save me some typing.

I find them useful. I type in just one word, scan the list of suggestions and if there is one that embodies what I am actually looking for, I click on that. It saves a lot of keystrokes. If not, I can always complete the search string I originally had in mind.

They are a source of humor, sometimes! Just a reminder that computers are still stupid . . .
