Danger, Danger, Danger. Dead Rat Killed My Slack
Hello all,
Just a cautionary tale to tell. Have just installed DEAD RAT FC2 onto the spare partition on my 40Gb drive, where Slack 9.1 current uses the primary partition, and it has killed my Slack completely. Can't boot Slack anymore, as Dead Rat seems to have taken it upon itself to install within my primary partition a directory called SE Linux in which are what appear to be some sort of hardened security files/programs. So now I try to boot Slack, I get the error 'unable to create console' while Dead Rat boots fine. Anyway, had a quick look at Dead Rat, and I can't see what it offers over Slack or Mandy, so guess what? Yep, am administering some Rat Poison, and about to re-install Slack. A real pisser, as my Slack was only updated again yesterday. Ho-hum, just another 692Mb download then. Thanks DEAD RAT, for nothing. |
I had no Idea that dead rat cared about security...........

Yeah, it's in fedora. But I read that you have to install it by clicking abox or somesuch - it doesn't do it by itself.
