You're in for a world of pain, depending on what you want to do.

If all you want to is back windows up to multiple cds. THen any common archive utility that can span and multi-part files will do the trick.

If you actually want to install windows vista from multiple cds, you'll have to manually decide which files goes on which cd based on the order that they're installed in, use a make iso utility to create disc images, and copy the bootsector from the original dvd iso to the first disc.

Fun huh?

Now that I think of it, this is a pretty strange question. I'm assuming you have dvd rom drive if you downloaded it right?

Anyway forget the methods I listed above. The windows vista disc contains a 1 gigabyte file, making it impossible to do an install from multiple cds without reconfiguring/recoding the installer.

It would be easier to install windows vista to a small 3.5gig partion, turn off swap and then create your own bootable install disk, either self-made or made with backup software such as those included popular cd burning packages these days.
