Commercial Email Service?

I'm looking for a commercial email service that is not tied to one of the major providers such as comcast, timewarner, AOL, etc.

I have had very good luck wiht excite.com for years but my employer blocks access to the free email providers.

Thank you,
Jeff

If you want a good privacy service check out Cotse.

register your own domain then host it, that way the block programs don't know of yours. I've had mine through a small company called aiso.net for the last couple years, ~$50 a year for my mail and domain IIRC, then ~100 a year if you want a web site too. They have windows and linux hosting.

Thanks,

I need the redundancy of a separate email AND one that my employer doesn't block. Unfortunately, Cotse is on their block list.

I did set up a separate domain and service with DNS Made Easy. It is secure, has spam protection, and isn't blocked by the powers that be.

Thats why I wanted a separate mail service, I can hop ISP's without needing to change anything or move my domain to another host if I want. I was with a small company who decided to not do mail hosting any more so I looked and found aiso.
