Color Laser Printer

I am wanting to buy a color laser printer. I will be printing off quite a few pages in color, and I want it to print off a fairly good picture. I don't want to spend too much money on it. It doesn't have to print fast. All I want is to be able to print off a lot of pages in color, and not be killing myself with the ink price.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what printer to buy?

I am running Linux Kubuntu Dapper, and it would be nice if it would be fairly easy to install.

If you need more information just ask.

Mod Note: Not really a Linux question...

My 2 cents: HP printers are the best

Advice on printers is a heck of lot more relevant to Linux than some of the nonsense posted here......
HP is the established leader in office printers--I just got a low-end BW model (1022) and it is great. No knowledge of their low-end color lasers.

If price is a big factor, pay attention to the cost of consumables.

Also, HP is one of the "good guys" in regard to Linux support. At least with inkjets, Canon is NOT. I have started asking store clerks if the itme in question supports Linux. Sometimes I actually get an intelligent answer. Better yet, more and more stuff has Linux compatibility printed on the box.

For photos, ink-jet is a far better choice.

And---the ink cost of a laser is ZERO (they use toner.. )

Just my but Samsung has very good Linux support for their laser printers.

They even print Linux supported on the boxes and included the Linux drivers on the cd that comes with the printer (at least with my ML-2010).
Instead of hiding the drivers on a separate site and making no mention of Linux on the box; won't mention HP though.......... Just poking fun, HP has solid support as well.
