Closing tabs with the keyboard within a web browser?

Hi: When pressing ^T or clicking a link in a page, the new invocation of the web browser appears in a new tab. I set things this way. If now I want to close the tab, I must use the mouse. Is there not a way of doing this same thing with the keyboard? I use Seamonkey 2.12.1 but the question applies also to any web browser.

Ctrl + W or Ctrl + F4 shuts an opened tab, with firefox anyway. Other browsers may not have a keyboard shortcut to shut tabs, and if they do the key combination could be different.

Is this of any use?

Or this?

From the above it's Ctrl+W to close a tab -- certainly works with Firefox here.
Edit: works with Chromium also.

Works with Seamonkey too. Thank you so much. I should have a table of seamonkey keyboard shortcuts, but I do not remember where it is.

CTRL+W works in Opera too.

It pops a tooltip when you hover over the "X" for the tab.
