on my workgroup network, i can see and configure the network printer (Printer1) from some PC`s but one PC kept giving me problem. i mean on the printer configuration window, when i double click the "create new printer" icon and go on to set up new printer, i cannot see this "Printer1" listed. but when i do the same thing on other computers this "Printer1" is listed and able to be configured. what could be the problem?
please note: the set up here is not a network printer connected to a PC, but a network printer connected directly to the network hub with ip address. and the os on the pc is windows 2000 pro.
this printer is HP 8500 N

Is there a print spooler configured for this printer?
Can you see other printer shares in the browse window?
Can you see other computers in network neighboorhood?
