Lightbulb Calling all Firefly/Serinity fans!

So, it seems there is still a chance for a second season of Firefly to be made. A site has been setup by some of the crew behind the series taking a survey of what the fans want. They are talking about possibly creating episodes and selling them directly over the internet (either DVD by mail or streaming media). If you are interested, please go fill out the survey at their site but, be sure to mention that you are a Linux user in the comments field so they won't use a file format that will keep us locked out of using the service! http://www.fireflyseason2.com/

As Josh Weadon wrote the entire Buffy thing that made billions I think if he backs a second season, they will make it. It was damn good. And the film. Woefully under sold though.

Later....

Now that I've been to that link I can report that its only function is to establish how much they could get away with charging for a new season.

"How much have you spent of Firefly merchandise?"
"How much would yo be prepared to pay for each Firefly episode?"

Oh good grief Charlie Brown, its as if someone was given a list of things to establish about a potential audience and just copied the list off in question form. Absolutely pointless exercise that will never influence any funding descion at all ever.

"Well we asked people how much they would spend per episode BEFORE we made it and they all said $50...I don't understand why they aren't paying that now that we HAVE made it"

Guess it'll just be another one season classic then :-(

Whether or not anything comes of it, it's always good to let these marketing guys to know not to count Linux users out... What if the show really did get made and was only available online in a DRM'd WMV file? We'd be screwed...
