I don't see how that makes my post untrue...

You use a 3rd party tool to turn the ISO into an image for a bootable memory stick - which is what I suggested in that post.

Clearly you did not check those utilities and how they work. There is no "turning the ISO into an image", or even unpacking the ISO. Once you prep the USB drive, you just copy the ISO into place on it. You can then boot the USB device and get a menu of the ISO images and select one to boot. Look it up, it is pretty cool!

I saw that.

However, I've just renembered that the Windows 10 media creation tool gives the option to create a bootable image for a USB stick. I have to wonder if the OP tried this?

So did you not look at ANY of the tools mentioned?? Did you not read the link that you were given, with SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS (with PICTURES) on how to do this on Ubuntu? Did you try rufus, since it's been mentioned by name several times??

Not sure what you think is going to happen if you don't do/try anything suggested. Again, there are LOTS of tutorials out there to do exactly what you're asking; you were handed links to them, along with a search term to look up many, MANY more. What more do you need?

Rufus is a windows only tool, so the op can't use it.
Give Woeusb https://github.com/WoeUSB/WoeUSB-ng a try or one of the links in wpeckham signature.

I stand corrected; good catch, thank you.
