bootmgr is missing (boot error)
After dual booting Linux and Windows on my friend's computer, Windows will no longer boot. I get the message when trying to boot windows "bootmgr is missing." I tried using the windows cd to do a recovery. that did not work. How is this fixed?

IIRC you must go into recovery mode (the command prompt) and run fixmbr

Hi
You might have accidentally deleted vital system files which are required to boot Windows. Try the following link: http://xpentor.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1187874329 I hope it works for you! |

I did try that already. I found it several websites from google saying to do the same thing, but it didnt work for me. I ended up reformatting the drive with ext3 and having it mount at /home.
