"Bill Gates' house is totally out of date."

Just got the May 2, 2003 Time magazine. The one with Secrets of the New Matrix on the front cover. Towards the front of the articles they print quotes by famous people. This one struck me as extremely funny.

=================================================

"Bill Gates' house is totally out of date. He built it right before wireless happened. The big tunnels for all his wires - he doesn't need that stuff anymore." Martha Stewart , discussing her new infatuation with wireless technology, as well as with smaller homes

=================================================

bill got dissed by martha stewart. now that's funnny.

I really dont like Martha Stewart. Maybe it is the way she talks or even her style.

Even so, to get dissed by her is a new low. And to have it happen to Billy. Now that is something worth posting.

I'd have to agree.. I had wireless setup in my house and it just sucked. I'll wait maybe another decade and check in on the progress of how stable wireless can be cause you can't beat an actual line to deliver your data for ya..

Talking

wireless sucks when you are connecting servers or desktops but when it comes to laptops you should have wireless , go around the house without any wires, thats way too much fun to ignore

Well I've gotten three things out of this thread so far:

1. Bill Gates Sucks
2. Martha Stewart Sucks
3. Wireless Sucks

I'd have to agree with all of them as well.

I've got a friend that has her apple imac with the airport wireless card that receives it's connection from a linksys wireless router connected to dsl. She reports no problems. Just got of the phone with her. And she does the limewire thingy. She loves it. The imac is in the kitchen - the router is up stairs.
