Auto-starting computer on power back

Hey.
I was wondering lately how to automatically start a computer after short power loss and power back, when there's no such option in BIOS. The only thing I have figured out is to put a condenser between power pins on the mainboard...
Am I thinking correctly ? Or will it fry my mainboard ? :P
And no i won't buy an UPS

If you don't know what you are doing I would recommend not doing hardware modifications unless of course you're looking for an excuse to buy a new motherboard with said BIOS option.

That's not the point... I know all of that. I'm just playing with electronical stuff around, and was thinking about a simple way to achieve this autostart effect...

Ah... well, if you're just playing around then you always try building a UPS.
