Arrrrghhhh

forget linux for a few seconds... does anyone have a cure for an impending yet already massive hangover?

Depends on what you want to get done today.

If you have nothing on schedule, I recommend beer and clamato juice with a few shakes of Worchestichire(sp? - hell, Lea & Perrins) and as much Tabasco as you can stand. I also used to recommend it for my Thursday Night dart game.:)

If you have to work: (Dosages are for me - at 170lbs). If you drink coffee everyday, drink it today - caffiene withdrwal is like a two-day hangover. Take either 1000mg Aspirin (ASA - chew them!) or Motrin -400mg (Ibuprofen - don't chew! YUCK). Tylenol (Acetominiphen) is lousy for a hangover. Drink LOTS of water. Sports drinks are OK, but I would only drink Lemon Ice gatorade as I have a scary tale about coloured drinks and a month in a heat wave. Drink more water and take another(smaller) dose of ASA or Ibuprofen after about four hours. Drink as much water as you can before bed. Don't be a hero and take too much meds as they won't do much more than irritate your already tender guts. I have no idea why, but a bowl of chili or some curry is good for lunch. Don't over-do it.

My best remedy was to find a dart league that went out Fridays so I could sleep in Saturday.

Switch to Guinness. Avoid cheap red wine (sulfates=ouch!). Tequila - seek professional help. Rum - Leave it on the boat. Scotch - one rule: Never drink whisky without water and never drink water without whisky.
