Archos vs. iRiver

I've been considering buying a Personal Media Player, not jsut an mp3 palyer. Could people with the Archos AV420 and the iRiver PMP-120 give me their opinions on the product? other information would be gladly accepted as well. Right now I'm leaning towards the iRiver.

I have an Archos Gmini 400 and I LOVE IT. i was also considering an iRiver but opted for Archos instead. I know these arent the models you are looking at, but in any case. I suggest the Archos. It can record and play on a TV, so its basicly a portable TiVo with a screen.

Yeah, I've been looking at the Archos ever since it's existence, and I think it's the greatest thing ever. No no, it's not my bias, but rather the stone cold, solid fact. :D Just kidding, but I really really like the Archos products, they just seem to be able to do a lot of what I want.

Cool

the iRiver also runs linux though right? I'm looking at the iRiver because it looks like a better buy, it supports more formats and stuff like that. Other ideas?

Yeah. The iRiver supports more formats, including OGG if you use those.

i don't but I'm looking for the best. Does the iRiver use linux as an operating system?
