apache crashes

Hi all, I have got a web server installed over SunOS 5.8.
I've installed Oracle 8, and web server is Apache 1.3.20.

In certain conditions, this web server crashes, but I do not know the reason.

The log files /var/apache/logs/ are all emty!!

Someone can suggest me some motivation which apache crashes?

Thanks

First check if /var/apache/logs is writable for the Apache process. Then look into the configuration file (apache.conf) and see what is ErrorLog set to and if that file exists and/or the location is writable.
