Nunchaku Ichi Kata:

Since much of our life has gone Digital, Linux is like the Nunchak's of today.
That, old PCs and all other dry art media. Used effectively these can enrich our lives
greatly and help overcome many challenges that we see today in present times.

Another kind of browser, I am glad to see variety of browsers:
http://www.linuxandubuntu.com/home/c...r-without-tabs

Yesterday felt the real urge to do Abstract oil painting. Did a small one, then a bigger one both on canvas boards. When I was doing the larger one, felt strained even. In the long term past I did just impasto abstract works with oils:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impasto
This time around, I did use linseed oil. So will see how they turn out. The thing with oil painting is that they take about a month or so to dry for me. So have to be super patient.
This experience helps me admire the dry media and drawing more, they are almost instantaneous.

Halloween is coming, stay safe with your old PC and avoid haunted places like the one below:

This is the old view. These days the folks without money to buy much are just ignored or if the situation is bad for them,
then there are even charitable organizations that help out. The system only comes after a person if they have debt or commit crime etc., Having said that a poor person can also contribute positively to society, by volunteering, sharing with others or even just giving some positive company. From even just a few decades ago, society has advanced quite a bit for the good.

https://opensource.com/article/18/10...ersions-ms-dos

We already have a very nice version of FreeDOS, wonder why more versions of ms-dos are needed now as open source ?
I don't get it.

They're trying to look good/change their image, but the trouble is, it's only for studying, & not even allowed for any commercial use, if I remember. It is so out of date, that it isn't even worth the effort of looking at the code!

Nope, that's a mainframe. I remember mainframe computers from work. They were vast; the cpu and memory alone were stored in a case the size of a filing cabinet. Other cabinets contained tape or disk drives. However this is a 1959 machine so it would have been tape only. All the cabinets were joined by cables and there was underfloor cooling, and a suction mat in front of the door to remove dust from people's shoes. Only the machine ops were allowed to enter the computer room and they worked shifts round the clock because those machines couldn't be trusted to run by themselves.

A PC is a personal computer, i.e. one used by one person, basically anything that one could run a program on, however, the 'Personal Computer' was an IBM desktop computer, but the term is used more generally now for any commercially available computer, desktop &/or laptop, especially ones running MS Windows, Linux, BSD, or Apple's O/S.

I prefer to do art more these days, it is soul touching and deep. AI starting to make artwork, what are your thoughts on this ? Personally I am puzzled and not sure what to say even. Anyone can do art, if folks want AI art and are willing to pay for it, then others can't object to it. Just that it lacks the human factor:

Jesus said: The kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21, KJV)
https://www.gotquestions.org/kingdom...ithin-you.html

Linux with old PC greatly helps in exploring this introvert, intangible aspect of life. It is quite deep. Thank you Lord for this blessing and all other blessings that you have filled my life with, please use me to do your will as you see fit. Bless all others also here, even more than you have blessed me so that they can do your will also on this Earth.

BELOVED, DO NOT BE SURPRISED AT THE FIERY TRIAL! - Francis Chan (Reality church)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCqVMj0K87Q

The above holds so true in the Linux world even, have to be strong and persistent , weather the storms to survive in the Linux world. Linux is a narrow gate, specially with old PC but eventually well worth it.

10 minute taekwondo workout:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ujly7l3-xUM

Please watch this once in a while and do these at least few times a week. My diabetes is no fun. Diabetes is seems to be exploding. Sitting in front of PC all day is no good for this and other severe health issues. Please get active.

What do you have, Type 1 or Type 2? If it's Type 2, it's mainly diet-related although a sedentary lifestyle doesn't exactly help. Eating healthier, cooking for yourself and no fast food/junk food is the way to go. If it's Type 1, that's just bad luck.
