Anybody knows how to contact google?

Hello,

I've received a bad shock today when I saw that google does not list my site on their search any more. I've even tried searching for my URL explicitly but the site doesn't show up in google search. Even yesterday my site showed up when I typed the URL. Does this mean that google have removed my site from their search index?

How am I to contact google? There seems to be no contact information on their site. I want to know whether this is a problem or I've violated their TOS. As far as I know, I haven't...

Is this a temporary thing or has my site been permanently banned from google search index? This is driving me crazy because I am not sure either way... and listing on search engine is the only way I can promote my site as I am not rich enough to buy sponsored ads...

And don't tell me this question should be asked to google That's what I want to do. Only I need to know their e-mail ID or some other contact info which is not there on their site. If anybody knows how I can contact google, could you provide a link here? I'd be much obliged.

I am almost 99% sure that google does not allow you to contact them abuot listings... they claim they scan the web each day for new sites and add them as they are found.

Seems odd that your site has dropped off.. I know in the past if your meta tags are not correct listings regarding your site they will remove you from the index.

EDIT: here is some information.... http://www.google.com/contact/search.html#3

Well, all my meta tags are relevant to my site. There is nothing off-topic in them.

Also my site hasn't gone down in ranking... it's simply disappeared which is completely odd. Even when I type the full url of my site in the search bar, it's not listed.

EDIT: Thanks for that URL. Obviously they do have contact information

I found the reason for google not including my site in the search. When I went through the access log to my site, I found that google's bot last visit to my site had hit a HTTP 302 error.

Hehe.. so quick to point and blame when it was your own fault.. !

And well, as I agree with you that its nice to have your site listed when searching on google, but well, the way I see it is, they can list it or not, that's their choice. Unless you paid for a listing and it doesn't show up, I'd say don't bother wasting their time, I'm sure they are real busy people who get these types of calls all the time and really shouldn't be bothered with them unless they are with the or a paying customer, instead of one of the free listed URL searches that their bot goes around to pick up.

Just a thought and my opinion!

It wasn't my fault. I still don't know WHY that error happened.

I agree that it's a free thing, but because Google is the lifeblood of the web and so many people use it to search the web and also because I would like my site to get more traffic. So in my perspective, this is a serious and important issue. Without google search, my site has no chance of survival.

If I was removed from google's search index, I would like to know the reason why. Whether I had done something against their rules or not. I have a right to that information...

I just wanted contact information which I couldn't find in google's main site.

I won't bother them any more than one polite email requesting them if there is anything wrong with my site...

Read up on error 302 here: http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E302.html

You may have your reasons but well, I still don't see the point in bothering them. Like I said, they don't have to list any sites that they bot for any reason and if their bot got a 302 error, well, that's life and we move on. I'm sure your site will keep alive without being on google, unless your starting to depend on traffic to support the site, in that case, you should put ads on it and promote it by buying advertising, don't depend on free search engines.

Thanks for that link.

As I said, I panicked because of the fact that last night I could find my URL on google and this morning it had disappeared off it.

I'm also a lot jittery because a lot of phpBB based sites recently are being hacked/cracked out there on the web and my nerves are on edge...

No need to worry it’s not a very strange thing for new sites having few back links to get indexed and get dropped after a while.
When you will get more back links, Google bot will visit your site more often and chances that it is not able to access your website will be much less.

EDIT:I have also read about bots crashing while visiting sites so an inaccessible website is not the only reason for getting dropped off the index

Thank you imax. I also read about that, so I guess it's just my nerves...

GRR.... I'd like to get my hand on those crackers who deface websites. They not only deface others property but also give people like me sleepless nights worrying about my own site's security!!
