Anybody else sad that Carly is gone?

And just when I had hope for HP. Sounds like she couldn't play well with others.

Probably Ms. Clinton, but I can't see how this will make any difference in the nowdays world situation at all...Thatcher proved to be crueler than most men.

Pity because most men underestimate women's intelligence. Often the typical woman has an average IQ higher than the typical bloke, but blokes think that women are less powerful than men. This has plagued women since the dawn of time (because men always demand power) hence today, we have feminists, equal opportunity campaigns etc.

Read the Encourage-Women-Linux-HOWTO and you will see why.

Just a personal vent, but I HATE HP! I hope with the departure of Fiorina, HP will run around like chickens with their heads cut off and will crash and burn.... or maybe not.

The only thing HP can make worth a damn is printers, their computers suck. Too bad she's gone, based on the limited information I have read it looked as though she was much better than the rest of those idiots at HP.

"Probably Ms. Clinton"

I'm all for a woman president but anyone but this one, no Hildabeast for Pres!

As an ousider I don't really care who will be the president in U.S. I would like anyone that wouldn't do the 2-3 wars every U.S. President does and would not see himself as the Policeman of the planet when he does not accept any internation court or Law for himself and his people, but only for the others....
The "probably Ms Clinton" was because i read in the newspaper that the Democrates want her to run for president.

What i'm saying is it won't make any difference if you have a woman for president. Has anything changed for the black people in US now that the last 2 foreign ministers were black?

This topic is a joke. Does anyone actually LIKE the fact that Carly pretty much destroyed both HP and Compaq?

A decade after the fall of the Berlin Wall, America is still saving countries and peoples from one danger or another. The scorecard reads as follows: From 1945 to the end of the century, the United States attempted to overthrow more than 40 foreign governments, and to crush more than 30 populist-nationalist movements struggling against intolerable regimes. In the process, the US caused the end of life for several million people, and condemned many millions more to a life of agony and despair....

...If I were the president, I could stop terrorist attacks against the United States in a few days. Permanently. I would first apologize to all the widows and orphans, the tortured and impoverished, and all the many millions of other victims of American imperialism. Then I would announce, in all sincerity, to every corner of the world, that America's global interventions have come to an end, and inform Israel that it is no longer the 51st state of the USA but now -- oddly enough -- a foreign country. I would then reduce the military budget by at least 90% and use the savings to pay reparations to the victims. There would be more than enough money. One year's military budget of 330 billion dollars is equal to more than $18,000 an hour for every hour since Jesus Christ was born. That's what I'd do on my first three days in the White House. On the fourth day, I'd be assassinated.

US reporter

Its good to express your opinions but when you express them in such fashion and getting too personal with such attacks, it calls for a closure.

320mb, you've been warned plenty of times in the forums for your attitude, this is a last warning or you'll have to speak with the admin about your behavior in these forums. Post constructively without getting personal to express your views or don't post at all. These types of dumb remarks you've made are not welcome and only offend others.

If you have a problem with our rules which you seem to set aside at times, don't post or use this site. Change your attitude now or lose your privileges to this site. It's your choice.

If you have any questions or concerns, don't being them up in the forums or to any moderator but direct them all to the site admin, I'm sure you know who he is.

And for all the other members who read this thread and want to reply in a constructive fashion, get it back on topic or it will be closed immediately.

I don't know if carly being gone is good or not, its hard to say if hp's downfall started before her or after. They used to make good products, the laptops, while not real popular were well built, the ACO had really good products thought the price tag was high, their test equipment were at the top as well. Its seems then tried to go from quality to quantity but since everyone else had already been in a quantity market for longer hp started out behind. IMHO, there is still a market for quality, HP should have stayed there even if it meant selling fewer numbers of product.

HP was destroying itself before she took over and long before the stupid Compaq merger. Between all the internal bickering inside HP and shoddy computers and OS bundles, HP was already having problems. Then they merge with compaq which has it's own internal problems and questionable computers and equally crappy OS bundles and it was expected to get better?

They needed new ideas and to focus, it certainly wasn't happening before her.
